Hello there, Welcome to our website! BLOGS is the University’s bisexual, lesbian, gay, trans*, queer and intersex society. We’re here to provide a safe space for LGBT+ students and friends to socialise, discuss issues and become more involved with the greater LGBT+ community.

We have our main events on Tuesday evenings during term time, including casual social events, discussions, information evenings and nights out. We also have dedicated committee members that run events and offer support for their section of our community including: a Campaigns Officer; a Trans*, Intersex and Non-binary Officer; a Postgraduate and Mature Students Officer, a Men’s Officer, a Women’s Officer and a Bisexual Officer. We also have a dedicated Welfare Officer who is there if you need someone to talk to or want to know more about any specific LGBT+ issues.

Our events and membership is open to all LGBTQIA+ identifying people and associated friends from all walks of life. We put on a wide range of events throughout the year and we hope there is something there that piques your interest. If, however, you don’t feel like coming along to a group event, committee members are of course available to speak to if you have any questions, worries, need some advice or just want to find out more about BLOGS: so please feel free to get in touch!

We have an email address (blogs.edinburgh@hotmail.co.uk) which you can email if you have questions about the society. If you want to keep up-to-date with our events and general goings on you can join our Facebook group or check out our EUSA page, where you can also buy membership (£5 for Edinburgh University students and £10 for students of other Universities and non-students). Most of our events are free, but if we do have to charge a few quid for an event then membership will give you a discount – it also gives you drinks discounts in and free entry to our sponsor venues, Planetbar and Chalky’s.

See ya!
